The DAP will be a rockbox iPod classic 160gb via LOD. I have a feeling it will be a very synergistic setup with all the research ive done and experience i have as well. My main goal was to be as portable as possible with very good SQ, storage and battery life.

Please let us know your thoughts on the combo, be sure to post them in the BH thread. smile.gif I also feel they will synergize well. If it wasn't for some other Hybrids coming out in the next couple of months I would re-purchase GR07 MK2 , having heard them in the past and now C&C BH I have a gut feeling about it.

I will definitely leave my feedback in both threads. I would guess that you can look forward to first impressions within 3 weeks. I also have a gut feeling it will be an outstanding portable rig that cost under $500. It would certainly be hard to beat in the category of features per square inch lol.

I'm trying really hard to have these replace my HF5s but the sound isolation and means of putting them on are the main game changers at the moment. I work in a cube farm so would like minimal to none sound leakage. Would the GR01 offer better isolation with a similar, lively sound?

Are you asking about leakage or isolation. The isolation depending on the tips used is decent. I'd give it 7.5 out of 10.  Please note I use the sony hybrid tips and others report better isolation with double flange type tips.

Leakage, what others hear, is essentially non existent with my gr07's.

i just go these  and they sound worst than   my 20 dollar earbuds .  the vsonic sound thin compared to my sony earbuds

More so the leakage. I could be more used to the Etymotics deep tri-flange tips and their top quality isolation + leakage (especially since the tips are so deep in your ear.) It definitely sounds like the leakage is dependent on the overall seal. Are the Sony Hybrids better than the stock ones they give you with the pack?

Why buy a studio moniter and the bash them cuz they aren't your cup of tea -__-"...... I love all my gr07 varient including the one I got today . Mk2..... must say its definitely an upgrade to the original and I didn't even burn it in.....its so transperent and eriee sound with a much faster transient speed versus my balance armutures. biggrin.gif.....I hope people learn to enjoy a work of art such as these and some other gem in the sand......burn in is the key factor.....these will need 500+hrs to shine like a diamond( pun intended) biggrin.gif.....happy listening and no negativity all of you haters.

Sounds like you don't know how to use IEMS or should stick to the Sennheiser CX series.
