Multiple news sources are reporting that Osama bin Laden has been shot and killed by US forces. Obama is expected to make an announcement soon.

Interesting. Could this be the beginning of the end of the longest war in U.S. history?

It's probably just another plot from the US government to induce further brainwashing and bring us closer to a New World Order...

Glad to hear he's out of the picture...  though I'm sure it won't really affect anything.  Heck, it may be used as an excuse to keep us over there longer

@Permagrin I hope so. The US has been over there way too long.

@Tronz it's interesting to note how this news is going to completely overshadow controversy over Obama's long-form birth certificate.

@nycdoi umm... zero?

@Permagrin yeah, people are saying that the certificate is fake because the .PDF it was released as (see) has a lot of things on different layers, which is pretty strange. Though a more realistic explanation for that is probably that they touched it up to make it more easily readable.

I would have thought he died from natural diseases seeing as past reports from the media claimed he was deathly ill already...no need to shoot a sick (both literally and figuratively) old guy...right?

War's still going on, though.

I don't think he was even playing a crucial part in the war effort anymore and more acting as a figurehead of authority.

Uh, vengeance still exists as a viable moral code.

Doesn't mean there's no reason to kill him. Smart terrorists are rare and killing one is always worthwhile.

Indeed.

This will become a political lockdown but for today, I feel a little better.
