My latest purchase. An old but still very good MP3 player:
It sounds great with my Audio Technica ES10! Rio was really on to something. Too bad that they folded and stopped making MP3 players...
^^ Nice!! Old school for sure. Beautiful AT cans too. I had a Trekstor Vibez for a couple years (pretty much same sound from what I recall), and loved that thing. Broke unfortunately though....
Kinda sorta off topic question. Is it weird that I saw V-Moda M-80's for sale at Radio Shack today, for $199.99? Not so much the price, but the location..
Troll Dragon, how did you get the head-fi graphic on your Sansa? That's pretty cool
I was looking at Trekstor Vibez as well. When Rio folded, many engineers went to Trekstor and the Vibez can be seen as a continuation of the Rio MP3 line. But I found a Rio Karma in good condition, with only some small scratch on the screen, and then I just had to buy it.
I usually EQ my MP3 players, but the Karma sounds great with a flat EQ setting. If I EQ the bass up, it becomes too much. I'd say that the Rio beats my Cowon S9 in SQ. Sometimes newer isn't the same as "better"...
