Franken-LOD!

so what's the point, per-amp?

post #47 of 7505

What do you mean per-amp?  I don't know if it is placebo, but it tightened up the sound significantly.  high end sounds more detailed, and sibilance is more enjoyable(thats right sibilance enjoyable).  Tight, very very tight sound.  Bass snaps like a whip.  Vocals seems so detailed.  I like.. Sound stage seems wider.  Since I like it so far, I'll do it for my imod LODbiggrin.gif

^Hey, I'm thinking about getting Zune, and playing with its line out.  I want to see if I like Line out from Zune.

I couldnt notice any difference between that LOD? and the zune alone to the mini3

Try opening up the Fuze and taking out the internal caps a la iMod.

post #53 of 7505

^Which internal caps?  I thought DC was outputted through LO on Fuze because of no caps on its path.  If there is then my LOD capacitance is huge overkill(I know its already an overkill) as caps have inverse series relationship from resistors.

@hi_q,
the fuze doesn't have caps in the LO signal path.
Have u tried any Wima polypropylene caps?i've read electrolytics in signal path are bad.
