opa2107 in RA 1?

I have in my possession an extra opa2107 and was just wondering if it was possible to switch the opamp in my RA 1 with the 2107? I am saving my beans for the MAD Ear+ HD and am curious if I can get better sound out of the RA 1 with some opamp rolling while I wait.

Depends on what amp is in RA 1, do you know.  I would look at the data sheet and see if they are interchangable.

According to Dsavitsk's pics and comments (see: http://www.ecp.cc/ra1.html ), it might not be that easy to get into the RA1. The njm4556 Grado used is also optimized for lower loads and higher current, compared to the opa2107. It doesn't really matter for high impedance headphones but it does for low impedance ones.
