Oh, I haven't got around to compare to my PC yet, since at my new place I can't put all at the same place, I need put my main PC and monitors at other places, so recently, I'm trying to setup another laptop. However, I did a brief comparison on Sony DVP-9000 vs Theta Data CD transport on redbooks, there is noticeable advantage with the Theta, There is more clarity, detailed, bass is much more well defined,  more focus and balanced. Completely different level in my opinion, the only thing i have with the Theta is that it sounds organic but somehow not as emotional as streaming from Laptop. It's less alive, and a little bit dry to my ears , like wax... I don't know how to describe it....
