I see what you're saying.  I wasn't aware it was a problem in the past, so you're probably right.  But hey, nothing to be done.  Haters gon' hate, regardless.

I wonder if any other companies make aftermarket SE535 cables.

Nope, which kinda sucksfrown.gifThere is really nothing custom out their unless you want to pay $1,000,000. There are a few cables, but their injection molded. I am talking to a few people seeing if they can DIY one for me.

$1,000,000? Yeah that's generally what I charge.

I know TigzStudio makes cables under the brand Norse Audio but as far as I know they are specifically LCD-2 cables only. I'm not sure what you need for your cans but maybe Trevor would do a custom for you. I'm not sure if that would be in your price range though.

Easy Guy's and Gal's, let's not get to bent out of shape here, now back to the cable's. I know Your stuck between the copper and the silver, I like the copper Myself and I'm a little nervous about the silver as a friend of mine told me if not done properly the strand's can break with to much twisting of the cable's. The sound is not for everyone and that would suck if You did not like them, I think it's a matter of which one You will buy from ALO or Whiplash, if You feel it's worth the investment then go for it. It's Your money and it's Your choice and Your Happiness that matter's.

Now does anyone have a listening experience between copper and silver to help Our Friend out?

I build cables out of 6N UPOCC silver for people on request for people with the customs these days. It's not just cryo'ed but the purity is definitely up there with both of those. I'm rocking it on my Grados, UE's, and my Sennheiser HD-580's right now. Night and day difference. A lot of people who are afraid of blowing 2-300 bucks on cables are being completely logical but it does make quite a difference.

Silver cables don't cost that much to build if you look in the DIY section, they're just expensive when youre cryo-ing them and manufacturing them in very complex ways especially in the US.

I completely respect ALO's offerings though. They sold me a recabled SR-225 back in the day with their OFC copper and I'm telling you these cans stacked up to the RS-2 ezpz.

Haven't had any experiences in the 2 years I've been using silver with breakages, it all depends on your manufacturing process.

I don't have any preferences over silver or copper considering I haven't used OFC before. I just know silver is more conductive than OFC no matter how pure the copper is.
