OPAMP suggestions for Beginner (TITANIUM HD)

Thread Starter

Howdy all.  Recently I purchased Creative's new Card the TITANIUM HD. I am very happy with how good it sounds, but I would like to further enhance it's sound signature. I was hoping that you knowledgeable folks could suggest to me some good OPAMP  I/V and Buffer combinations.

I was under the impression that Canned aka TO-99 OPAMPS are considered to be the best. But I am a little confused about a few things that maybe some of you could clarify for me.

-My sound cards I/V's require Dual Channel OPAMPS, does this limit my selection in OPAMPS?

-If I get TO-99  type OPAMPS  I will then have to buy a few TO-99 to 8-pin DIP Adapters from Brown DOG.

-It seems to me the OPA827 are not Canned nor Dual channel. I was considering these since many rave about them.

I had noticed the reviewer from GURU3D used the OPA211A in the I/V  to test the TITANIUM which he claimed helped add more definition to the lower end while warming up the overall sound signature.

Anyhow I would greatly appreciate your input here guys.

OPA827 needs a 2x1 adapter.

Try LT1363CN for buffer or LT1364CN for I/V.

LT1028ACN8 for buffer

HA3-2525 for buffer
