No I have to send my old ones in and then I pay 240 for a new pair.  I guess it's still my best bet since a new pair looks like will cost at least 100 more than that.  I'd just jump ship here and go for something else but I had the custom molds made so I'm stuck and I do like the sound so there it is.

Selling broken e500/530's on head-fi would only get you about 100USD. In working condition, maybe 150USD. Your phones are simply not worth that much and the 535 IS an upgrade. At 240USD for a brand new pair of 535's, it's a DEAL regardless of the initial purchase price of the 530. Things depreciate and it's the price you pay being in this game.

That's 270 GBP, actually.  Quite a bit more.  About 450 USD.
