Best Running Companion MP3 Player the MUVO2

In 2004 or so they came out in 1.5GB, 4GB, 5GB and 8GB storage capacities. Long time ago I got the black 5GB version.  Excellent portable player, I put some of my best albums @256kb mp3s.  great SQ, great battery life. I could never justify to spend more money to get an iPod, Zune or any other DAP. I consider it the iPod, Zune, Sony and Sansa killer.  I'm going to give it even more life by replacing its 5GB microdrive for a 32GB compact flash card. With this upgrade still kills anything on the market today for a DAP to listen with ear buds or small headphones.

What I like about it:

1-) SQ is great, better than iPod, Zune, Sansa, etc (better than expected)

2-) Can play while charging battery

3-) While I have it in my pocket, I can manually adjust volume, skip, repit, tracks

4-) Battery life is great

5-) Radio and Recorder work great

6-) Folder friendly

7-) Works like a USB flash drive (I can even store other files, this is very useful.  I cannot do that with other players)

8-) Still works like new today (My son has gone thru 3 iPods and 2 zunes ha, ha, ha)

9-) Very reliable little player.

This sounds like what the Fiio X3 will hopefully be, if it lives up to the hype.  Except microSD cards and not-so-long battery life.  And no radio and recorder, but who cares.  It just adds extra price for features nobody would ever use.

I use the radio, and I need long battery life - 2 necessary features for me,...and the fiio x3 will be too large and cumbersome to run with. A clip+, that's an excellent running companion.

My favorite running companion is my dog, and she sings better than many MP3 players I've listened to.biggrin.gif

If you don't need a live companion, then I'll also recommend the Sansa Clip+.

I gave my iPod, Zune, Sansa and Sony DAPs to my dog to have fun when it is bored.biggrin.gif

Even my mini laptop lasts longer on its battery than any of those DAPs or so called Smart but dumb phones.
