Help a beginner out!!

Hi guys, im looking to buy something to drive my sennheiser hd650. I have a macbook pro and im willing to pay up to 300$ for a DAC/AMP. This is where i get confused. Do i need both the DAC and the AMP? I read tons of threads but couldnt tell what i needed, i am a beginner. So, does the ZERO 24bit192hz act as a DAC and an amp at the same time? What about the uDAC2/little dot mk combo? If some1 could clarify my questions, i wouldreally appreciate                                  Thanks guys

You could go with any of those options. You will want a Dac and a Amp (separate pieces) or you can look for a integrated Dac/Amp in one. It is really your choice. There are so many quality options I wouldnt know where to begin based on the wealth of info you passed along about your music preferences J/k. But anyhow, you just need to do a lot of reading here on head-fi. Search threads about amps/dacs with good synergy with the HD650 and make your own conclusions. Good luck, and sorry for what could happen to you in this addictive world of hi-fi.
