In doing some research into whether the J3 is a worthy upgrade to my (now broken by my son) X5L and my Clip+, I stumbled across the following:

Anyone out there care to comment on what the differences mean between the two players when it comes to sound fidelity?
What causes those hectic spikes on the J3 and are they a bad thing?
