They are going for $48 each and up at Partexpress for a RCA jack. Are WBT really that much better?

I'd say, not by much. Its controversial like cableconfused_face%281%29.gif

The WBTs on my ICs are locking.  The ICs are not particularly flexible so they're prone to popping out, which is prevented by the locking mechanism.

As far as SQ goes, who knows.  I got them because they're well-built.

No.

They sound the same as cheap jacks, but if you like their build quality and can afford them, why not?

WBT claims that due to the minimal and thin amount of contact material that it reduces eddy currents.  I had them installed on a PS Audio DL3 I used to have.  I have no idea if they improved the sound quality, but I do know that because the way the jacks are made of plastic and because the contact material is so thin and sandwiched to the plastic that it is difficult to remove cables, and it is not recommended that you do much cable swapping with them because it can actually scrape off part of the contacts.

RCA jacks are almost all expensive or the quality is not good. So far my experience. And even so it sounds curious I will go with the Neutrik again, because it was like holyday to fix them to the cable..
