Price for 2nd hand Beyerdynamic T1 :) - Page 2

As of the T1 vs HD800, i'm not sure why your friend told you that, my guess is that he/she was referring to to HD800's sound stage, which is one HD800's greatest strength. Of course, it's not gonna surpass speakers in this aspect. How ever in terms of the technical level, T1 is not superior than HD800 except better bass in quantity.  HD800 has it's own charm and perform very well when pairing with right amp, WA22 , or V200 from Lake-people.  Besides one of the advantage of having a tube amp it's you can tune it the way you like lol. just my $0.02

You are absolutely right! LOL and thanks for your advice~~

I first got the 840A with $500...Then I found a real bargain--P17b. This pair of Klipsch was only 1K9 (although they were 2nd handed, they hadn't even finished the running in)

I am thinking about getting a new hifi  set for my dad. The loud speakers should be B&W 800D or 801D; the power amp should be Mark Levinson 532/432. I have no idea on the pre amp.

About the source, I'm still hesitating because I don't want to have disk players but HDD players. You know, like the Olive O6HD. However, these players are not so well developed and obviously over priced.

WA22 and V200 are absolutely great amps but I have tunephobia, maybe they are too hot, LOL

Would you please give me some advise on solid amps if I get a HD800 or T1?
