Price for 2nd hand Beyerdynamic T1 :)

I am new here~

 

Any one can tell me what is the FAIR price to get a 9/10 or like new Beyerdynamic T1?

 

I just checked out in the Headphones for Sale / Trade, but they are all SOLD... -_-''

 

BTW, I am now taking the Cambridge Azur 840A as the headphone amp (and SONY 777ES as the source). So, I wonder whether I should get a headphone amp after I get the T1.

Fair 2nd hand price will always be the price which someone wants and that price someone else is willing to pay.  As a very rough guide you can expect to pay anywhere from $850-$1050 dependent on age and the price the seller paid new (went from $1000-$1295 recommended retail) and can also be influenced by where you and the seller reside.

 

I don't know a lot about the Azur 840a, I'm sure it is an admirable amp, but I have no idea about its headphone out performance.  Someone with more experience than me may be able to chime in, my guess would be that the headphone out will not be enough to drive the T1 well, but I really am unsure.

Thanks, Kernmac. I think $850 maybe a fair price because I can get a new one with $1000 in China.

I use the 840A to drive a pair of Klipsch P-17B, but I'm not satisfied with the sound.

$1000 is pretty low. I say get new. I paid $1100 USD delivered for mine.

These don't turn up a lot on the FS section here

 

1000 usd is very very cheap, I thought Europe was actually cheap on these (859 euros).

 

It's a matter of days/weeks, before I'll get myself one of these

It seems HD800s are cheaper in the US than those in China. There is a dealer on Audiogon, he sells brand new HD800 for $1099. However, T1s are even hard to buy...Maybe, I'm not sure.

I'm choosing T1's over HD800's

 

HD800's can be bought minty under 1000 usd at FS section here

Both are great hp's when paired to a nice amp. But i agree, is harder to find deals on the T1's.

Some told me if I have loud speakers then I should choose T1. I have a pair of Klipsch P17b, so T1 may be the right choice

Your amp seems not being in the same league with your 4k speakers... I'd say you can get a W5 from woo or integrated amp from Red Wine audio
