Dolby Headphone with music.

Anyone ever tried this? did it with power dvd earlier out of boredom (the same reason i do most of the things i do hahahaha) and guess what? the sound moved in FRONT of me, just like speakers, yes, it truly sounds in front, just like a binaural recording. the only problem, is there is a slight reverb that i find annoying. just felt like posting this.

Interesting, the reason you feel the slight reverb is because the headphone out wasn't properly made like a headphone amp (which is common).

this is not true. the reverb is the effect of the DSP. even the cheap headphone amps in soundcards do not generally add reverb like that.

Yeah dolby headphone adds reverb to the music to simulate a room effect.  It's quite nice of a soundstage effect, but you do lose some definition.  A much better option would be to just get a setup that gives an extremely rich and voluminous soundstage on its own.  Dolby headphones is definitely fun to play around with though.
