Anybody tried an internal rewire of the LCD-2? - Page 2

Those ear pads looks strange. So are you using the connector or just hard wiring in?

I soldered the replacement cable to where the red and black wires had originally been attached on the terminals.

Where you able to go far enough in your disassembly to see the other side(ear facing side) of the headphone, where the screw which acts as a signal conductor attaches to.  Just curious if there is some potential of skipping the screw altogether and soldering directly to the drivers.  The screw looks like a weak link.
