currently. i'm listening to burzums newest album, fallen. anyone had a chance to check it out?

I was not impressed with the new Burzum. I listened a few times but nothing really jumped out at me, so I havent revisited. I have been into the new Krallice  album though.

I am actually now listening Fallen. I dont particularly love it, though I am getting the hang of it. Vanvidd is a great track though! This is the Burzum I am more familiar with though:

 

 

 

 

 

 

And yes, Black Metal is my fav genre of all, particularly the atmospheric kind.

 

I'm not sure if this warrants a dedicated thread though, we do get plenty of blackmetal talk in the Lets Talk Metal thread. But whatever...

Interesting to hear blackmetal with very strong presence of rather oldschoolish death metal vocals. Very curious.

love that song. i started the black metal thread because IMO its really in its own class when it comes to metal. btw, the album your profile picture is associated with........IS EPIC! especially the song der pakt, the keyboards are so chilling. dunkler mann is a great song too.

Altar of Plagues new album "Mammal" is a killer! There last full length “White Tomb” is one of my all time fav’s as well. Definitely worth a listen if you enjoy an slightly alternative style of atmospheric BM

The black metal I listen to tends to be on the thrashy end of the spectrum, or at least that's the way I perceive it

Black metal is by far my favorite metal genre, because it's the most atmosphere focussed form of metal. I've mostly been listening to Drudkh's Autumn Aurora lately. Because the weather here has been amazing over the last couple of weeks and it is by far the happieest black metal (does that even exist?) album i've got.

I'm not to big on black metal, but Istaap's Blekinge is a great album as is Immortal's All Shall Fall.
