Check the style of USB termination though for your hardware. Not sure your USB is responsible for jitter.

the "premium" monoprice units are pretty good. USB cables are probably not your source of jitter unless its seriously and visible damaged.

Good sage advice. I'm looking for a can to satisfy my closed canned EDM needs and this may be it. Fingers crossed

The problem was the USB port guys. When I switched to different USB port on my Macbook the jitter was gone, lol.

Glad you solved it, and that's good to know.  I suppose that's why Schiit says Coax, then Optical, then USB as the preferred connection methods.  One nice thing about USB is that there are usually a few ports from which to choose.  It's a pricey option, but I gotta add it.

Yeah, USB is just way easier for me. I'm always using my equipment with my Macbook Air and will do so in the future too.

Thus far very happy with the whole setup. Had the HE-400 with Aune T1 before this and I must say the transition isn't that big. Yes, this setup is better with more details but is it really worth all the extra money? Not sure yet! :D

It really makes the HE-400 a whole lotta bang for the buck!

They look great with my new headstand by the way. ;-) Also bought the wooden cups from headfier MunkeyNutz. Will install them this weekend :D

That stand is very nice!! I've recently acquired a pair of he500's and will have them next week.

The Rooms FS headstand is def worth the money. Looks evens prettier in real life

Congratz on the HE-500! Didn't you own one before but thought it was too heavy?

How many times is that lol - I thought they were too heavy for you. Did the HE-4 not work out or is this in addition?

Monkeynutz is going to make a custom headband for these (I'm already on the list). It might be the solution ;)

I've owned the he500 before but did find it heavy. I'm two months into my strengthening program and feel like I'm ready for heavier hp's. :D

Guys, do you think a power cord from Audioquest for my Schiit Bifrost and Burson Soloist SL would be a good buy? Would it make any sonic differences or would I throw my money away?

I already bought a USB and RCA cable from Audioquest for my setup because I don't like the cables I have now. Since I had to buy anyways I didn't mind spending a little more for the Audioquest cables. They look nice anyhow

Science says there isn't any difference. Faith says there may be. If you want something that looks nicer than the stock, black cable, Audioquest is a good choice but I'd go with the least expensive model.

Yeah, I would like a nicer looking cable that is less sturdy. But the Audioquest cable is 75 euro new and I need two. Is there something a bit more affordable in Europe? If there's no sonic difference anyways I rather keep it as cheap as possible!

Most audiophiles would probably state that there is a difference, but it is small and not always an improvement.  It's at the bottom on my list of improvements, but it still makes the list.  I'd make sure you have a good pair of interconnects between your DAC and amp, that has a greater effect than power or USB cables.

It's also worth stating that part of the audiophile game is chasing that ever elusive last inch of improvement along perfection yardstick.  How much you choose to play that game is a personal choice.
