I remain skeptical till I receive mine from Modulor.    It's just my nature.  But from what I've been hearing from people, the chance that I will be pleased with the improvements seems pretty good. :D

If anyone here is skeptical it is me. Or my hearing is just bad... Well, there is definitely a non-negligible difference with the damping holes. I found a few damping holes seem to make the upper mids better and clearer without really changing anything tonality wise, while a lot of damping hole changes the overall balance sligthly, giving the mids a slight edge you have to get used to. In the beginning I didn't like it that much, but only in the beginning. Long time ago I have used pleathers without damping holes, perhaps I should try..

Check out the measurements in the first post of my thread. Myself (and Modulor) really pushed for it because it would provide unbiased objective evidence that there is significant change (for better or for worse, you can see for yourself) with the pad modifications.

I am attending a concert with pink floyd project. Known to you?

The Jergpads definately make a significant difference on the HE400 which is all I have tried... Obviously they are still the same drivers with the same advantages / problems but it does reduce them significantly. If the HE500 are as good as people say out of the box then the HE500 with pad mods probably sound very good.

I've yet to see them. I'm jealous

^They did pretty well, albeit the speakers were quite mediocre and the volume pretty darn loud. I missed a bit more coherency in the perfomance as well.

Just recently received my HE-500's, and I have to say, it's really hard for me to not be impressed by these headphones.

You don't sell them Jerg?

^No. Modulor might make another batch, but that'll be in months if at all.

I received my pair after a long wait, but was worth it.
