It'll be the best money under $1,000 USD you've ever spent.

Are these meant to be run on high gain or low gain on an amp?

on low gain I go to about 12-1 oclock and its loud enough, on high gain im at about 9 oclock and its plenty loud, so not much room too play with before its muted or loud.

the thing is the sound seems to open up on high gain a bit better at the same volume......do there require more gain to sound their best? or it doesn't really matter?

btw, after a few month with them, I find the leather pads superior toe the velour, the velour makes everything to clinical and less warm imo.

amp = Meier Corda Classic

You can get Audio-GD products from AudioPhonics.fr if you want to buy from a dealer inside the EU:

http://www.audiophonics.fr/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=audio-gd&search_in_description=0&page=1&sort=3d

They also happen to have Hifiman products at reasonable prices:

Damn ..u guys see everything biggrin.gif. 700 or 1000usd... Its still one of the best deals around headphonewise. wink.gif

Well..i think i will be selling my amp faster then anticipated..so no more rambling about my amp anymore from me soon probably biggrin.gif

and yes FEARLESS1..u were so right in one of ur recent posts. biggrin.gif..that guy got curious because of my own ramblings and others rambling bout my amp... The guy wants to pay double of what i paid for it last year..with all cables..so incl. my 2 special powercables (not happy with that..iwanted to use them on my new amp) and toxic rca cable...and my tubes

Bad thing is that if he does buy it this coming weekend i will be out of amp for 3 months... redface.gif

Well first see if he thinks my amp is worth it...and then i could always buy a budget amp while waiting for my blue circle in november....maybe an emotiva. biggrin.gif

Talking bout powercables..anyone has experience with 'less loss' powercables??

Don't buy an Emotiva. Who needs speaker amps anyway? They are just useless, stay away. Maybe try the O2. I hear they are supposed to be linear and ship, so they must equate to performance rivalling those worth millions.

Perfect. Last thing we need is another 2000 posts from you commenting on how awesome the Emotiva is tongue_smile.gif                 (It's just a joke, don't freak out)
