if u lived closer by u would be more then welcome to do that..it would be my pleasure....but as i said...sooon i will be jumping on another wagon..not being SS or tube..so by then another person will be the lucky owner then of my amp.

I am positive someone WILL buy it regardless of price just to see what your ramblings are about wink_face.gif

I'll go treat my rooms accoustically so I won't hear those damn wall reflections when my headphones are leaking.. While I'm at it, I better go cover my earcanals and surrounding head with acoustic foam tongue_smile.gif Be right back.

yep probably..and he/she will be rambling also as soon he had his first listen to it...just like me..as my rambling here started just after i got this evil amp ...it must be possessed with an evil spirit of a former owner...or the vintage tubes are gateways to the underworld!! very_evil_smiley.gif

So I need a nice balanced cable for when my Taboo arrives, and I think it's going to be the Noir from Forza AudioWorks.  It doesn't seem to be so well known around here, but seems like a nice looking cable and much cheaper than the ones from other boutique cable makers.

Just realized that I am continually derailing this thread because I haven't got much to say about the HE-500...

Hey David,

how do the HE-500 sound in comparison to Stax? I haven't had a chance to hear a stax set up before.
