I've had my Lyr up to about 12-1 o'clock for a few seconds but it mostly lives ad 9. Not even going to go farther..

WTF, I'm A/B'ing between O2/ODAC and Essence One again and can't tell a difference.  The last time I did it, I could distinguish a difference!

But the amp can potentially distort when turned that loud, which could cause damage, am I right?

hahahahah… It would cause damage, of course. I said "stress" not to the extent of damaging it… LOL

Turn on my amp and suddenly there's no sound on the right channel.
Change amp still the same.
Change cable from L to R, vice-versa still the same frown.gif

Is RMA-ing it hassle? I got this phones from another guy , will the warranty still be covered?

Also, with stock cable, my drivers used to go out all the time. I don't know why. Give it a day's rest...see if anything's working better the next day. After switching cables, this stopped. I don't know why LOL but just give it some time, who knows, can't hurt?

Also, if it doesn't work then for RMA, you need to email a copy of the receipt....doesn't matter if you got it from another person, as long as it's under the warranty. Then there is this sheet you fill out and include in the box you ship it in. Ship only the headphones, nothing else. No accessories. Remember to follow up with them and be concise and completely darn explicit...saves you from lot of potential problems.

So you were saying that you are also experiencing no sound on one channel once in a blue moon?

I will try it again tonight and report.

Yea this happened back in Septmember - Novemeber last year. Then I got the new cables from Headphone Lounge. Ever since then, it never happened. Like even on something weak like E10 it would sometimes go out. The stock silver cable also kept getting unscrewed from the connector or it was fluctuating between on/off, so maybe that's why it did that. I remember it being the left channel always. Ever since then, 4-5 months, no problem with the new cable.

Speaking of new cable, here's my new Skuld 2 from Norse Audio.  It's very lightweight and flexible.

How is that Audio GD with HE500 combo? That is exactly what I am thinking about getting... Except the HE400 and Audio GD 5.32

yup... i am at home all the time and in air conditioned room 24/7... but still, it is not easy... i am also shifting to canada sometime next year so hopefully this hell is not gonna find me again... but i can bear these temperatures and quite often roam around in full heat in the market just to keep my resistance up...
