If it's a Pink Floyd concert ... :)

Just an option, the Shure 940 has been getting some good press here. I'm not sure (pun intended) if it's a FOTM syndrome or not as they're still relatively new but for $300 retail and less at street prices it's hardly much of a risk.

I'd rather get the DT1350 (for isolation and great SQ).

If you need isolation and no leakage get IEM's! ;)

Actually, I can handle the isolation of normal closed cans (D7000), semi-open (DT990), but K702 is just too much for office, that's why I asked... from the pics seems to be more a house can than work can... but i do _really_ want to get the HE-500!

I was wearing my HE-500s at the office today, the girls just outside my door were rocking out, one stopped to dance in the doorway and give me a hard time.....

They leak like mad.  I want to give the DT1350s a try at the office.

Thats why you need closed for office stuff but to tell you the truth these 880 600 ohms dont leak much as I am surprised at how little they do.

"Girls dancing by your door...giving you a hard..."

I am sorry but, what's the bad news?

I listened top the loaner which strangely was sent with the hE6 cable which is an excellent cable and very light which I prefer. Smart move. Fang should make that available as an option on the web site. its a great cable and gives people some more flexibility.

I was listening to Florence and the Machine - Girl with One Eye, started on my speakers and switched to headphones when I realized it was NSFW and that's when the dancing started... There was no bad news.. none at all... but definitely not for the office :)

Office orgies cut through the tension and relieves stress, highly recommended.

Oh yeah, headphones....tongue.gif

I'm mainly using the Lavry with the Sennheiser HD 650 and the overall sound is nice but a little bit lacking in low end focus and weight for my preference, especially when listening to rock music, so I'm thinking that the LCD-2 could be the headphones for me. I also own the Sennheiser HD 600 and whilst I appreciate their neutrality, I find them a touch too bright with the Lavry.

Loaner pairs of the HE 500 and LCD-2 are on their way to me soon and I really look forward to hearing them with my own ears. From what I've read on here, I'm probably in for a treat. happy_face1.gif

Many thanks,

Windsor

Good as my word, the contents of this photo have been the focus of much of my past few days.

Some of my impressions on the LCD-2 are here (scroll down), and I'll post some HE-500 impressions soon.

My main headphones until now have been the pictured Sennheiser models (the HD 600 and HD 650), and interestingly enough, I'm finding that the HE-500 and LCD-2 sound like scaled-up versions of the HD 600 and HD 650 respectively.

More info. to follow. smile.gif

That impression is a pretty good initial view but upon longer listening I think you'll see the HE500 and LCD2 are better and are different to the HD600 and HD650. Enough so that comparing them to the Senns is merely a peripheral description.
