It so happens to be I have some moon rocks on hand, Make me an offer  They're blue and should match your new rig, very stylish.

By the way, are you pacing back and forth waiting for the arrival? Hitting refresh on the browser every ten minutes on the tracking page you have open? You're probably starting to think about that HX.

I guarantee this is what Hifimanrookie actually wants to say:

maybe i will make u an offer u cant refuse.. ;)

about the waiting..well..i do check the usps track and trace site at least once an hour...now the time is near it really makes me nervous now...

about the HX...well...as Gilbert said in his post: 'first things first'...he meant: i first enjoy my new amp and then go to another fase...no need for hurrying

i need that amp only at the end of the year at the earliest anyway..so i am not in hurry..and i need to put some money aside for it... and some new speakers....decisions decisions...  I NEED MONEY...anyone of u wanna help out a poor fellow headfi'er? :veryevil:

and in meantime a dear friend of mine who is away for at least a year for work offered me his rig to be used in meantime.. well..if u think my rig is expensive then u will fall flat on ur back when u see his speaker rig..i once helped him to change the speakers from one place to another...i almost broke my back when we both picked it up together! that heavy!

well..i dont have his budget..so i will never able to buy that kind of stuff...so am glad he offered to use it in my new house until i have my own rig tegether..he is not home anyway he told me...i only need to pick it up when i have the keys of my new home...i love him!!  :D

The story of cables improving sound is pretty much the same, rocks in your pocket. I think that's a good and perhaps humerous analogy.

LMAO.  I count on you for good and funny.  Excellent analogy.

I have no idea how it will sound, but my HFM cable is looking good thus far (no soldering done yet).  Wasn't it Fernando Lamas who said:

It's better to LOOK marvelous than to sound marvelous.  And I think you know what I'm saying, darling.

Have a good night,  9:30 AM here, looking forward to a busy sunday but think I'll lay of the headphones now and give my motorcycle a trashing for a couple of hours before I'm off to brunch.

Have a nice cold Lassi and a big serving of Ras Malai.

As for dynamics, I'd somewhat believe it, but still don't think it warrants the price most people pay. Maybe copper vs silver is OK (as they'd be similar cost) but not paying the premium for GOLD INFUSED or LITZ etc

For aesthetics an ergonomics I can see why someone would pay $100 maybe $200 for 10ft. plus lengths for a cable. Anymore is just unreasonable imo. Btg is reasonably priced imo.

I wonder how miserably the 3 microscopic strands of copper would measure on an Ohm Meter. A higher resistance might mean a small loss of volume or possibly damping if the numbers work out, but if the cable is tainted with large amounts of capacitance then there will be trouble. I agree on the aspects of aesthetics, ergonmonics, build quality or length having a reasonable influence on price. Unless the cable is a inexcusable POS, there should be no issues with sound. Lamp cord would work, except that it's ugly, not very flexible and probably microphonic. Then again the stock HE-500 cable sounds fine, other than a nasty case of microphonics and stiffness.
