Let's get back on topic. So who's heard their HE-500 with an E6 (I'm apparently very interested in this amp) and/or have rich stocker broker friends?

What! You didn't do a search? I'm sure that somewhere a rich stock broker bought one by accident and had very sensitive hearing. :D

I'm sure you realize that I'm not a fan of the E06 and similar stuff that probably delivers less power than most smartphones.

Especially now that I'm using the IIR filter. Haha. We're like brothers from another mother now. (fist bump)

Pih, it's my end game setup.  I run a 1980s Sony Walkman into the E6, and the HE-500s melt my brain.  It solidifies when I take them off.  If I don't like how the neurons and synapses (AKA, gray matter) have coalesced, I just listen to a little more Jimi and see what happens.  I'm doing that now, can you tell? ;)

Full Disclosure: I did the Magic Mushroom Mod on my HE-500s.  It's not for everyone.

Gave you a little edit up there :D

Awesome! I'm senior to Thurston and Sonido. I'll make them run laps carrying my Emotiva and jump rope using my cables while I sit in a corner drinking iced tea with Thurston's ape that has seen god. I hear he can speak now...

Rangy was my guinea pig for the Magic Mushroom Mod ;)  I'll never forget the day I snapped that photo.  It was a dark and stormy night...

You funny. :D

I'll bet that Jimi's hummingbird hums too loud, even for a Mini-X, let alone an E06.

I was thinking of getting two 200W Marshal Stacks and use them for headphones. I know, it's not portable.

The he500 is not really portable too..in fact its the best way to get into trouble if u use it in public transports because of the noise it admits to the outside..

But hey..its just me saying that..if u consider a he500 portable..go for it..but i hope u have ur black belt in karate then and a license to kill as people wont like u if u use that phone in the train or something biggrin.gif

i once saw a young dude in an old VW golf next to me waiting in traffic who had (if i am not mistaken) a k701 on his head listening to music..as he was banging his head..WHILE DRIVING!! WTF!
