I would use simple organic technology, cotton in the ears.

My HE-500's should be here/hear tomorrow.

They're on a FedEx truck on the way from Audio Adivisors.

Hope you enjoy them.  There are plenty of fun, reversible mods you can do to/for them, if you get the urge.  I'll be curious to hear your impressions of the stock cable.  It was too microphonic for me and many others, though some don't notice it much.  Yesterday I put some Techflex Flexo Noise Reduction sleeving on it.  Helps a bit, but I think I did it more for aesthetics.  I used 1/8" so had to snip and solder the wires.  1/4" might have been a better option.  Pretty simple, even with my rudimentary soldering skills.

Ears vs he-500 drivers. What'll blow first?

Thanks dude, and a very Merry Christmas to you and family as well.  I'm definitely not going to like the microphonics. I understand that they come with extra connectors, perhaps I'll make my own cable. Since the impedance isn't high one can get away with using unshielded speaker cable, keeping two separate ground wires prevents any degradation of crosstalk which probably wouldn't amount to much anyway. Just got to find wire that's soft and pliable. I bet you lamp cord will work just as good. Hehe, all the silver cables freaks will probably want to kill me after reading this.

Woven carbon nano-tubes. Only to be found inside Jude's secret super amp (using it for internal wiring)

LOL.  You should make one from lamp cable and compare to the stock.  Yeah, you might end up persona non grata in these parts

Maybe I can make a power cord out of headphone cable and see what kind of reaction I get. I can report that I got an increased soundstage, improved treble and plenty of slam from all my cans that I plug into my amp using the new power cord. I can always say that I used silver plated OFC copper.

Knowing what bionic implants means makes me old......

If you mentioned Steve Austin, yes. These days there is talk about bionic implants. For example some moron professor stuck an RFID chip under his skin another put an NFC chip under their skin and suddenly they think they're part of SkyNet.

I am using about the worst quality 6 and 9 meter speaker cable for my 2 new speakers. Hehe, it sounds good to me. If some shorter and better cables that I'll get eventually don't sound better I am officially against premium cables

Premium cables are a load of BS. You could use a nice heavy gauge of cheap brown zip cord (power cord) and not get any better results no matter how much money you would be willing to spend. Probably the same for cans only the zip cord wouldn't be comfortable or stylish.. I'd like to see someone use zip cord for IEM's, hehehe.
