oh yeah... english is like my 4th language but i speak it better than my other mother tongues. Happens if you watch movies/tv shows from america 10-12 hours every day:D. And as it is the language we are taught in our schools, so we are really good at it.

Well, we are taught british english in school. It wasn't till much later that i found out that it is "color" in america and not "colour". My accent is american so you can say that i know the american ripoff of a language commonly known as english:Dpost #3882 of 50293/21/13 at 12:50pmQuote:Sorry to dig this up but I am a new HE-500 owner and am curious about this.

For those who have experience with LCD2/3 and HE-500 - does HE-500 sounds audibly less extended in the bass when listening to actual music and not test tones? I know measurements show that HE-500 seems to be flat down to about 30 Hz, before rolling off, while Audeze cans are flat to well below 20Hz. With some music that has a lot of sub bass content, I sometime wonder if HE-500 could use a bit more extension.

Overall, I would say they are the same. LCD-2 has more a punch in the mid bass area. Although HE-500's bass comes off with more bloom since it doesn't have the midbass punch to the extent that LCD-2 has. So in a way, at times the HE-500 actually feels as it has more sub-bass. You can listen and follow the low bass notes better on the HE-500. While the LCD-2 is good, the mid-bass punch somewhat masks it. Although since it sounds so good, it really doesn't better. Both do bass quite well for all music genres.
