Cheap, Quality, Mini Hi-Fi systems? - Page 2

That Sony looks nice enough. Could you tell us why you want a CD player + speakers? If your music is pretty much all in your computer/iPod, it might be a better use of your cash to just get speakers.

I've always thought Music from CD Players is more pure than mp3s :)

I guess that's true in theory, but $100 budget is pretty tight. Also, couldn't you play CDs from your computer, and just connect good speakers to the computer?

The main problem with that is then I have to boot up my laptop everytime I want to listen to a CD, and move it as well.

Well, yeah, but if you want convenience + quality, I'm just worried it'll cost you more than your budget allows. What I'm suggesting is to take a hit in convenience, for the sake of quality + budget.

Do consider it. Going with the Sony ensures convenience + budget, but I think there's a lack of reviews on its quality.
