I have loads of LP's that I rarely listen to anymore (mainly because my digital front end surpasses the vinyl rig in many other ways)...I obviously need to spend a chunk of change on a new LP spinner (+ myriad PITA incidentals) to spur me on to resurect the ritual ( I like to call it a ritual). In the meantime that vinyl collection of mine is staying put ( but in semi permanent storage).

Peete.

I think you may be right about those cymbals.  Here is an altar to Reel to Reel!

Solid state amps can sound stunning. The Redwine Audio battery powered solid state amp is warm as ever with a top tier sound. It is not certainly cold and analytical like other solid states. It is perhaps one of the finest amps ever.

However, I own mostly tube amps because they are easy to find everywhere out in hi-fi land. I can easily buy a tube amp on the internet and they are very reliable from a reputable maker.

The good news, in my opinion, is that the new production of tubes is sounding better especially for guitar tube amps. I was recently impressed with the Electro Harmonix 12ax7 on guitar tones. It was as sweet as an old RCA in this circumstance.
