unbalanced to balanced

I was wondering if something like this http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/ART-CleanBox-Pro/DDK or this http://www.markertek.co.uk/Catalog/Audio-Signal-Processing/OMX-OTLMAX , would convert unbalanced to balanced without the -6db signal loss.
