Headphones with drivers larger than 50mm?

Lets make a list.  50mm & larger.

To be honest driver size does not directly means better sound quality. But still.

Audio Technica uses 53mm drivers on their full sizes and recently ES10.

Sony XB series? SA5000 uses 50mm driver.

Most electrostatics.

Sennheiser HD800 IIRC have a large ring driver exceeding 50mm.

Denon AH-D 2000/5000/7000

And the Sony MDR-XB1000 is rocking 70mm drivers. L3000.gif

The original Fostex T50 and T30 had 60mm drivers

Philips HP1000/910/890 50mm driver 

some of German Maestro/MB Quart have oversized drivers 52/53mm

The "low end" JVC RX700 and RX900 are using 50mm drivers too.

Forgot to measure my T50 clone when I cleaned the systems, but from sheer looks I'd say it's rather 80mm or so...  basshead.gif

i might have to get a set of those at some point. are they available in the US?

Unless we're restricting this to dynamic drivers only.

The XB1000 are exclusive to japan as of right now they had short run in sony style stores in the us but amazon dose ship them to the us still
