Looking for a pair of computer speakers $900 (Genelec 8020B?)

Hi, I want  a pair of decent 4" speakers for my laptop to listen to classical and pop music. I want a flat frequency response, quality bass but not too much quantity (the speakers will be placed 1 meter from me). How are the Genelec 8020B, I can get them for $900, are there better option? Some say that monitors are not good for listening to music, is that true?

 

I like soundstage and precise imaging. Can I plug the speakers directly into the headphone out or USB port on my laptop?
