Im planning a new portable rig after my soundmagic pl5's fell apart and need some advice from experts on the subject.
My sound source is a cowon D2+ @ 2.13 Firmware.
I Also got a FIIO E5 Laying around somewhere.
Planning on getting the ER4S or something in its price range.
What im looking for is to have awesome sound rig that is portable yet not too expensive.
1. Will i need an amplifier for the ER4S IEM'S?
2. Will the D2+ Supply the power needed for em?
3. Will there be any significant improvement from an E5 if i get the E7?
4. Are there a better set of iem's for the price of the etymotics? (IEM Budget 280$)
Also is the iphone 4 really better than the cowon in terms of SQ? Considering using it as a source with the e7 dac+amp.
(Lets ignore the FLAC Support for a sec).
