Music Production/Gaming audio card

Hey everyone :)

I've got a bit of a dilemma.

I recently upgraded to a new intel sandy bridge build with a dual gpu configuration. The problem I face now is that, my old Auzentech prelude x-fi 7.1 card won't fit into the PCI slot because of the 2 big video cards taking up too much room and covering the slots. My only solution now is either USB or a PCI Express card as I need ASIO support for music production and generally want better sound than what is provided with onboard audio.

In addition, I've also put up with "interference" from my computer/sound card to my KRK R6 studio monitors, and its 10x worse with onboard audio at the moment. What cables can I buy that will get rid of that annoying sound? and how much will it cost?

Please bare in mind that I need a card that is good for music production but also great for movies and games etc. I'm thinking maybe the Creative x-fi titanium HD pci express at this stage which should fit in the slot above my primary video slot.

Your thoughts...?

Thanks.

For reference, I am using the Asus P8P67 Pro B3 Socket 1155 motherboard.

The Xonar D2X looks like it should fit with what you are after, I know it has ASIO driver support. You could take a look at the one I am selling in the For Sale section.
