They still sound like crap, but at least they still work!

Used Navahips 24GA silver strand, Radio Shack 1/8" plug, and a shoelace from my Airwalks...

The braiding was more time consuming than I anticipated, then to cover it up with a cheap shoelace. Working with a shoelace SUCKED, I will purchase the correct sleeving next time.

Also the cheap Radio Shack plug was no fun to work with.

Working with the IEM itself was a piece of cake, it was the cable that was a PITA.

off for more practice...

how does a shoelace fit into the equation? how did you braid it?

between the "Y" split and the 1/8" plug, I braided the cable using: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/173896/tutorial-how-to-make-a-litz-braid

though the braid was nice looking, it seemed cleaner to use the shoelace to cover it... beginner mistake I suppose

it could be my imagination... but I think they might sound a bit better than stock

How does the shoelace cover it.

The shoelace is hollow, I threaded the braided cable thru it.

not a bad idea.

Instead of shoelace just get some heat-shrink tubing.

That way you get the braided feel of a cable, but it's far more form fitting and makes it FAR easier to fish wires through.

I own skull candy titans. Piece of advice, do some heatshrink tubing around casing and the wire out. When you step on the wire later you'll thank me later.

Alot of effort for poor headphones... but ok!
