NuForce uDAC-2 overheating?

Every once in a while my udac will overheat pretty bad. There doesnt seem to be any pattern to it; sometimes itll  overheat after only an hour or two of use, but then other days itll go 5+ hours no problem. What usually happens is itll start to get hot, then the sound will start to distort and then one channel will cut out and by that time I turn it off to let it cool down.

Anyone else having this problem? Thanks

Hi Pal, if I were You I would contact NuForce about this, explain what is going on to them and see what they tell You. I think that is Your best bet, Good Luck.

try an external power hub or another computer to diagnose the probelm. It might be your computer's usb power outputting abnormally.

Thanks

Only problem with this though is the overheating is sporadic, sometimes itll go a couple weeks before it overheats. So itd be hard to tell if the computer switch caused it or whether it just hasnt happened by chance yet
