Suggestions for ultrasone pro750 replacement cable?

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to use to make a replacement cable for the Ultrasone Pro 750? I plan on doing the Kees mod to them but don't know what wire would be best for them. I'm looking for a bassy headphone with these but nothing too boomy. Thanks for any advice.

I would suggest using a fine copper cable. At least not silver or such.

Copper has a warmer sound than silver.

rgds and happy building

It is our philosophy to manufacture true High End cables for specialized connections in headphone, MP3 player, and HiFi component interconnections

I've used mogami, mini quad, since it's lighter and more flexible than the regular quad. Was a nice little upgrade smily_headphones1.gif I personally feel the Pro 750's are already warm enough, so I find myself using my SPC cable more often. It's also longer so maybe that's why :P Either way, they're both better than stock smily_headphones1.gif

i just got my threaded mini plugs from qables. but they have no type of housing, so can i just use the housing from any other plug?

Yes. Most people retrofit Neutrik/REAN 3.5mm miniplug barrels onto them and secure it with glue.
