Comparison Request: Monster Beats Tour by Dr. Dre vs A-jays Four vs Ultimate Ears 500vi/400vi

I'm looking for a good earphone with mic for my iphone 4 and since I like the designs of the tangled-free flat cables, I've short listed these 3 earphones: Monster Beats Tour by Dr. Dre, A-jays Four, and Ultimate Ears 500vi/400vi.

Has anyone compared these 3 earphones before? I've seen one comparison between Tour vs. A-Jays Four but not convincing enough for me to decide between these two :/

The Beats Tour sound very colored and "off" to me (as with all of the Beats line really). Really bass heavy, overwhelmingly so. I can't recommend them over anything, especially considering that there are apparently much, much better options in that price range. I think my $80 Klipsch S4s sound better (despite also being bass-heavy).

 

As for the others, I haven't heard them so I can't comment.

Take a look at the CK10's.  They have a flat cable that doesn't tangle, and are fantastic build quality and sound.

There aren't a whole lot of people (or maybe anyone at all) who own all of those IEMs, so it's hard for anyone to give a good comparison of them. If you're not going to post anything productive, don't post at all.

 

Back to the OP, I haven't heard the Beats or the Jays, but from my experience, the UE 500s are better than the Klipsch S4s, due to less of a v-shaped curve (boosted treble and bass frequencies). Can't give you a comparison to anything else, but no one (here at least) seems to think very highly of the Tours...
