the Beats Pro's have decent bass, they might as well chrome plate the Pro's as the Studio's are worthless.

Now you see, those are actually good headphones.  Good deal.

I really like their pearl white version of the HD25 though, apparently jude got a pair of them based on the adidas colour version.

Yea, but colourware said it was special order from Sennheiser, so you have to go through Sennheiser in order to see if you can get the white n' blue ones...and even then it's more of a 1 in a million chance.

search for jude's thread on his white sennheisers. Somebody contacted colorware on the fact.

They actually look pretty nice visually. Too bad they're about $900 more than they should be.

It's chrome. CHROME. You're paying 40% more for a CHROME finish. Silver maybe, but seriously? One of the most common metals around?

acoustically, could it change the sound curve?

and IMO, if the chroming were to cost that much, you can probably get it cheaper at a metal shop if you have good relationships with the shop or owner.

Exactly. But then again, if people goes "OMG HEAR THEM BAAAAASSSSS!!!" on the Beats Studio...

"OMG THEY SO SHINY BUYBUYBUY"

Which is kind of what I suspected it is.  I'm guessing it cost them maybe $20 in materials + another $40 in labour to make these.  The price they're asking is absolutely outrageous...I can't believe they think they can even pull that off.  But if people actually buy it, it's just business I guess.

yeah, but i guess you could say that about pretty much any headphones. i highly doubt that even really high end things like HD800s cost a tenth of their retail price to produce. though i guess in cases like that you are paying for R&D and for the fairly limited production runs.

basically the reason they cost $1000 is because there are only 50 of them, its an exclusivity thing and folk with too much money will buy them to be seen..... like a Bugatti veyron for your head >_>
