Woldfson is good, Yamaha is more common in mixing, and mastering studio's.

The Yamaha's data sheet doesn't go into the audio performance specs, though it appears that they chose it because it uses less power than the wolfson. Assuming that the specs are comparable to the wolfson's 100db SNR spec, the quality should be pretty good. Then again, you're talking about a cell-phone, you're not going to notice the difference anyway. Maybe headphones will play louder on one than the other. The phone's speaker itself will still sound like crap, no DAC's gonna change that.

The Yamaha spec is not a datasheet. It is a product brief. It's created for a quick product pitch. The marketing folks do not think that the DAC performance is a differentiating feature therefore it's left out.
