After skimming through the giant thread mentioned above I got to today's latest entries (http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/showthread.php?t=104296&page=18) where John Westlake has this to say about an even newer and apparently better DAC comming out next month -the 'MDAC':
"MDAC is a game changer for digital performance at anywhere near its price point - and I dare not think how many 10K+ DAC's it will trash - the Analogue preamplifier section as it stands while very good (higher performance then CDQ / DQ) - it can me made a lot more flexible and higher performance. We would like to take it to a much higher level..."
