Looking for a new sub, narrowed down to 5

Hello! Recently I've been searching for a new sub. I would like music to come first, and then HT second (I will use these for gaming, however my standards are low so musical would be better)

The four subs I have narrowed it down to are:

Epik Legend

Emotiva Ultra 12

HSU STF-2

HSU VTF-2 Mk3

FV12 - Ported (If this is your choice, please also provide a second, I may not be able to get this one)

I am only buying one sub atm however I will and I know for a fact upgrade to two subs within my time, so which subs as a pair would be great together? Which as a single would be best?

My room is very small atm, however that may change in time depending on where I move (I am a student atm, so after college who knows? However as of know, consider it a small room)

My budget is under $600

Thanks

That depends, what are your other speakers?

If you're in an apartment, a 10 or even 8 inch sub might be a wiser choice than a 12 inch one.

Is the size of the box a factor for you? I ask this, because some subs can be very.... Massive.

EDIT: I got T200B Swan speakers and my room is 12ft by 12ft, 8ft tall.

Which would be the best? I am thinking the HSU STF-2 but then again I hear some people prefer the emotiva for music.

Size is not a issue
