I am recently looking for a pair of headphones that cost less than $100 that has great some quality and is really durable. I really don't care about looks. Thanks!
Samuel
if you don't care about looks.......http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Open-air-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B000CMS0XU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1303313579&sr=1-1

Are you looking for something with portability? what do you plan on driving them with?
Some suggestions for ya:
Â
Beyerdynamic DTX 910
Â
Grado SR60i
Â
JVC HARX900
Â
Sennhieser HD555, HD238, HD448
Â
Shure SRH440
not to derail the thread.....but how do those beyers sound? i've been looking for something more portable then my AD700s
I've tried:
Sony V6
Grado SR60i and 80i
Alessandro MS1
Superlux 668B
Â
i could easily recommend any of them, depend on what are you looking for. but all good headphones overall
Â
^ I second the 80i. If you're a rocker, those Grados don't disappoint.Â
i love the Grados, but they are not durable. especially the cord.
to the OP, do you want open or closed headphones?
you must be really mean with your headphones. mine are, like new (except for the fact that i removed the grill lol) but cable seems strong enough, Ive only have them for 5 months tho
The only one I use right now is the Koss Pro DJ 100. It's my favorite headphone (but not best) I've ever had, but it needs an E5 at the bare minimum. DJ100 is $80.
Â
I also find the SRH-440 an Beyer Dynamic DT-235 to be quite good. The DT-235 even sounds better when modded. I'm using mine with the Maxell DHP-II pads, some blu-tack and another mod.
Â
AKG K240 Studio is also a steal if you can find it for $70, but it also needs an amp and a good one. It doesn't sound terrible unamped though.
Â
FYI Beyer Dynamic DT-880 velor and pleather pads fit them. I don't suggest this if you own the DT-880 already, because it stretches out the pads too much and ruins them.
Â
Â
anybody?
