Best Sound Card for my laptop?

Currently I'm using my laptop and ipod nano to listen to my music using itunes loss-less.
I want to upgrade my sound card to something better if that possible for watching movies and music,
Currently I'm using is Xcap v1 and Ultrasone Pro 650.
Now I checked the name of the sound-card from my computer and it says "Speakers High definition audio device"
I'm not sure if that good enough.
Budget is around 50-100$.

Thanks

You could give the Fiio E7 a try.  It's designed to be used portably with a laptop.  It has a great DAC and a decent amp that should drive most headphones adequately.  As an added bouns it's also a portable headphone amp so you can use it with your iPod too!  But you should get a LOD cable for that. (Like the Fiio L1 or L3.)

Not really sure what you want then.  You can't really get anything any better than an E7 for a budget of less than $100.

Well, if you already have the E7 and want an upgrade, yeah, the E9 would be the way to go.  However, if your 'phones are already well driven with the E7, you should really think twice about spending that money on it.  All it really does is make the E7 even more powerful, with a slightly better but far more powerful amp. (The E9 can power orthodynamics.)
