Moments where you Derped with audio.

One of mine was today. I got the RS-2 about a week ago and LOVED THEM IN STORE, got them home and was listeing and still love them, but I felt that something was a bit off. I thought it was just my source as at the store I was running it off a dac.I open up my EQ today to see if I could  get it to sound PERFECT.

MFW I see the EQ bars

I had everything from the uppermids to the highs EQ-ed down from my previous Grado SR80i and forgot about it. Everything sound exactly as I remember it in the store.

I spent about 5 minutes the other day freaking out that my DAC was broken, checking all the connections, pressing the power button a couple dozen times, pulling out my hair. Turns out that my power strip was turned off. Doh.

My son tripped over a headphone cable, sending the 'phone flying off of its stand and crashing to the ground.  Turning on the amp, I discovered that now only the left channel was working.  Crap I said, thinking a broken wire in the 'phone, and started searching Head-fi on how to open it up and fix it.  After 30 minutes of agonizing research, I suddenly realized a simpler solution: just push the plug all the way into the amp, and voila, there's the missing channel.

When I first got my W10vtgs I put them on and after listening to few tracks I realized something sounded kind of weird, rather off, but I couldn't put my finger on it... Then I realized I put the headphones on backwards.

One of those "was I dropped on my head as a child?!" moments.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... I thought my DAC died, I was freaking out... nah, I just forgot to plug in my interconnects.

Then I made this face:

How can you put them on backwards, the wing system doesn't go that way. tongue.gif

Replaced a few components in a tuner last weekend and after finishing the tuning was far worse than before.  The antenna was not connected :)

The wings won't do anything to stop you from putting them on wrong! However, the cable on the right side should have been a strong indicator.

Also, it was in the morning and I was hungover, so leave me alone! :(
