The charging is fully automatized without any external device since the Tabla uses the USB power for charging purpose during idle.

Tabla can provide ultimate audio performance through the totally independent and smooth internal battery powering, ultra-low jitter circuits, specialized pulse transformer and of course with one of the best USB-Audio algorithms on the market from M2Tech. /Mac OS and Windows based PC's are supported/

NO!

This is NOT a modded HiFace!

Only the USB-Audio front-end came from M2Tech which is OEM product of M2Tech.

The regular price is 600 EUR + VAT + shipping cost, but the there is a kind of introductory price for limited time only which is 500 € + VAT.

That's about $890 USD.  Lot cheaper than the M2Tech Young ($1800), though the Young does go up to 32/384.

 

Looking forward to hearing some impressions.

I guess the comparison with M2Tech Young is not too fair, since the Young has a built-in DAC stage as well.
BUT, one of the main difference between the Tabla and others is the pure, special internal battery powering which is huge improvement from any regular PSU or even the crappy USB direct powering. The charging of Tabla is very simple and easy since that could use the "crappy" USB power for charging purpose (automatized way) only during idle times.
 The first public listening review will be soon from Srajan on 6moons.com.

A more appropriate comparison would be to an M2Tech Evo powered by LiFePo batteries. Though that combo would be half the price of the Tabla.

Thanks.  Not sure how I missed that.

 

The Audiophilleo 2 also looks to be a competitor, although in the same range as the Evo.  http://www.audiophilleo.com/audiophilleo2.aspx
