please help me understand........

i would like to start using my ipod as my main source instead of my cd player. i have a little dot 1 with some grado 325is. my question is i HATE the ipod DAC, what do i need to do. i would like to get something like the wadia ipod dock along with a DAC but dont know which one and how it would connect up to each other. looked at pictures of the back of the wadia dock and i guess being stupid i just dont understand how i would hook the ipod to the DAC to the little dot. please some input would be helpful

 

 

also after all of that rambling what DAC  IPOD DOCK  and CABLES would you recommend
