For Sale:
Maverick D1 Tube DAC & Teralink X2 USB Transport ~ PRICE DROP ~
Will Ship To: CON-US
I'm looking to sell these two units. I'm the original buyer.
I would like to find a buyer that wants both units. I'll even make a deal or discount or whatever if you are interested in both.
I purchased my TubeMagic D1 back in December 2009, it's the first vintage so it does have the higher gain and silkscreen issue (some of the text has rubbed off on the front) but other than that, it's a good unit. It has a WE396A tube (expensive and hard to find top of the line tube) along with a LT1364 opamp in the DAC section and LM4562 in the headphone section. I also made a little ghetto EMI blocker inside but I don't think it does anything but it's there (aluminum foil inside an anti-static bag between the PSU and PCB). You'll also get a plexiglass cover I made, original opamps, original Chinese tube and maybe some cables tossed in as well. It will ship securely in the original box.
I'm asking $220 plus shipping to start out.
There's not much to say about the Teralink X2. It's several months old but still works great. I used it with the TubeMagic D1 (since the USB isn't that great) and I really like it. You will also get a DIY power supply, it's basically a modified power brick. I never noticed a difference between USB power and the power brick but it's yours if you want it. I'll see if I have a spare USB cable to toss in as well.
I'm asking $70 plus shipping to start out.
However, that's not all. If you want to buy both, that will save on shipping and I'll be more willing to make a deal. I will also include a DIY digital cable for using between the X2 and D1. I will also accept offers or trades depending on what you have. I'm mostly looking to buy a NFB-12 or other dedicated DAC.
Forgot to mention, Paypal only. Also, here's my feedback:
