Thanks! A few iDevices are listed in the manual, for example my iPod Touch generation 4, but as already stated its EQ too affects the sound. Anway, I've written to Cypher Labs and I'll publish their reply on the thread. Hope they do reply and have a good explanation.

Cool I will try my iPhone 5 and 4s to see what it does. I know it disables the volume , but I do think you can still use the EQ. And this tells me DSP is still going on.

Yes, this is what David Maudlin at Cypher Labs has to say about it:

"(---) the EQ settings on the iPod/iPhone do affect the audio. The Solo -dB processes the USB Audio stream from the iPod, bypassing the hardware DAC and op amps on the iPod, but not the operating system.(---)"

I've written another question to David. Once I get his reply I'll publish our correspondence in its entirety.

Well according to David Maudlin, CEO Cypher Labs: "the EQ settings on the iPod/iPhone do affect the audio". So, not wanting to sound offensive but you'll either have to check your hearing or your gear.

No, not specifically, although something about it was mentioned in his reply.

I'll eventually publish our entire correspondence. Right now I'm waiting for his next reply. If I haven't received a reply by Tuesday I'll publish what I have. Please be patient!

No eq change in sound here.

I've a CLAS-dB bought in November. I have not had the opportunity to listen for long periods of time but noticed that it ran out of juice a couple of times. Last week I timed the battery life; it was 5 hours which seemed rather short. I was listening to it connected to iPod classic, ALO RxIIIB+, LCD-X. How long are most people getting from the CLAS? The ALO runs much longer but I haven't timed it.

That sure is funny considering what David Maudlin, CEO Cypher Labs has to say about it: "the EQ settings on the iPod/iPhone do affect the audio".

Are you using an iPod or are you listening through your computer? If you do use an iPod can you please share with us the type and generation of the iPod?

Thanks!

The CLAS -dB should last line than that. Are you using it to fully charge your iPhone or something like that? Or hooking it to an iPad that requires more juice for charging?
